During content team meetings, educators come together to make each other better by sharing resources, reviewing data, providing feedback, and examining student work and lesson plans.
During grade team meetings, educators come together to talk about supporting student academic and socio-emotional needs.
During whole staff professional development, educators train and learn together through case studies, teach backs, role plays, and co-planning.
All members of our community are part of one of our four crews. Together they compete for bragging rights. Which crew will win this year?
Our C.R.E.W.S values guide our staff culture at Pharos Academy. The values of our school community inspire our staff and guide how we show up and contribute. These values extend from the classroom to the workspaces, where teachers work and learn together.
Everyone can help us figure it out. We must continue to work together, tinker together, and learn to push past the status quo and create work that matters.

All people have differences and idiosyncrasies that should be welcomed, appreciated, elevated, and considered. We must actively seek out and celebrate different voices, cultures, perspectives, and people who may be different or think differently from us.

It is a habit and a way of life for all members of our community.We all have to push ourselves to become kinder and better versions of ourselves each day. To accomplish this, we must employ candor and transparency around performance and instigate feedback loops to improve our practice consistently.

We aim to consistently create “wow experiences” for students, families, the community, and other colleagues. Our service and support go beyond satisfying basic job expectations. We are committed to doing the unexpected, doing more than adequate, being creative, and serving others. The culture of tribes is passed down through storytelling. Members should always look to share positive gossip and stories about students, parents, and staff members. How we talk about members and events that take place in our school defines our culture.
